5 AI-made games worth playing this week
Five games from this week's list where AI did real work, from a Steam survival game with AI voices and Suno music to a city builder its maker says Claude wrote. We picked them from each game's store page, its AI disclosure and the player ratings so far.
Published 24 Oct 2026 · GenPlay, written with AI help
The most AI-heavy Steam release of the week. ELIN Software says every voice is AI text-to-speech from ElevenLabs and OpenAI, the music was generated with Suno, and several illustrations and portraits came from AI image tools, all reviewed and edited by the developer. Underneath is a survival shooter: pick one of three stranded survivors, play a three-chapter illustrated story, or hold out for nine waves in Three-Day Holdout. Listed at $14.99 for Windows, with no player reviews yet.
AI used for: Code, Art, Sound, Music, Voice, Writing
A low-poly city builder in the spirit of SimCity 2000 that its maker says was built by Claude Opus 5.5. It is free and runs in the browser. The Show HN post drew 37 points and 32 comments, the most of any Show HN game on our list this month.
A free medieval castle builder in 3D that runs in your browser. By day you gather timber, stone and grain, build homes and upgrade the village; at night raiders, archers and battering rams test the walls. The developer ticked code, graphics, sound and text in the itch.io AI disclosure. Players rate it 4.9 out of 5 from 13 ratings.
itch.io · by Dunbaps Games · Free · Browser, Windows, macOS
An idle game that keeps changing. You start with a few lines of text and an Absorb button, then gain sight, hunt in a tide pool and build your creature from parts like flagella, spikes, jaws or chloroplasts. Made in Godot by Dunbaps Games, free in the browser and on Windows, macOS and Linux. The AI disclosure lists code, graphics, sound and text, and the seven ratings so far average 5.0.
Steam · by Kul Studio · $7.99 · Windows, macOS, Linux
A cozy island life game where you play a cat: fish, catch bugs, dig up fossils and help 24 animal neighbors light the five lamps of an old lighthouse, with no timer and no fail state. Kul Studio used AI audio tools for the sound effects and music, AI help for parts of the dialogue and translations, and AI coding assistants, and says no AI generates content while you play. $7.99 on Windows, macOS and Linux.
How we picked: all five were listed on GenPlay in the last 30 days, and AI was used for at least four parts, or the game was vibe-coded. We left out fan games built on other people's characters and anything with adult content. We have not played every game ourselves. Descriptions come from the developers' pages, and prices and ratings were read on 24 October 2026.
